Tamiya Wild One Max – by The Little Car Company

The highly anticipated all electric Tamiya Wild One MAX, which will be publicly unveiled this Summer, starting with a limited-run Launch Edition.

Based on the original Tamiya Wild One (58050) radio-controlled car – first released in 1985 – the Tamiya Wild One MAX will be relaunched as a full-scale vehicle which will be road legal in the UK and EU.

LAUNCH EDITION SPECIFICATIONS

  • Carbon fibre dashboard with Launch Edition plaque

  • Launch Edition hologram decals, and r/c replica wheel nuts
  • Specially re-introduced Tamiya Wild One 1/10th kit complete with remote control, battery and charger

Following a visit to Goodwood Festival Of Speed I have ordered one through my company. It comes under the classification of four-wheeled heavy quadricycles designed to carry persons, with an unladen mass of no more than 450kg (excluding batteries).

  • Price starting from 35,000 GBP (41,000 EUR), excluding VAT and shipping
  • Power: Eight removable battery packs, total capacity 14.4kWh
  • Top Speed: 62 mph (100 km/h)
  • Maximum Est. range of 200km (on road) / 110km (off road)
  • Dimensions: 3.6m long (141.7”) and 1.9m wide (74.8”).
  • Weight: Kerb weight approximately 500kg.
  • Ground clearance 270mm, approach angle 34.1 degrees, breakover angle 28.4 degrees and departure angle 50.8 degrees.
  • Road Legality: Road legal pack in the UK and EU under L7e quadricycle regulations*.

  • Tyres: Maxxis Bighorn tyres in a 29” high / 11” wide / 14” rim size at the rear, with a Maxxis 14” on the front.

Perfect Spec!

Have I ordered one? If I have I will be going for the Emira i4 with four pot turbo charged AMG engine, double clutch gear box, with touring suspension, in their Nimbus Grey with a black leather (there is talk of being able to personalize the interior: black, tan and alcantara aka Aston AMR… fingers crossed), alcantara interior with yellow stitching and yellow brake calipers.
